Marvin Becker

Mr. Marvin Becker, 67, of Thurmont, MD., passed away, Monday, July 16, 2012, after a long battle with cancer, at the Frederick Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Gail Pezzano Becker.
Born December 29, 1944 in Dixon, Illinois, he was the son of the late Nicholas and Altha Fox Becker.
Mr. Becker served his country in the U.S. Navy and retired, after 32 years, from the Bechtel Corporation.
Marvin's greatest pleasure was being with his grandchildren and playing with his computers.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by five children Christopher Becker and wife Dorothy of Michigan, Teri Becker Herron and husband Marty of VA, Jamie Gillis and wife Tammy of Thurmont, Danielle Gillis and fiance David Azadi of Thurmont and Nicholas Becker of Mississippi, grandchildren, Alex Herron and wife Chelsea, Joshua Herron, Nicholas Becker, Savannah Gillis, Samantha Becker, Anthony Bowers, Seth Gillis, Caleb Azadi, Kemran Azadi and David Azadi, and a brother Ron Becker. Several nieces and nephews also survive. He will also be remembered by his special dog Kayci and cat Phredd. He was preceded in death by two brothers Nicholas and Chuck Becker.
The family will received friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 104 E. Main Street, Thurmont, MD on Thursday, July 19, from 4-6 and 7-9 pm, where services will be held Friday, July 20, at 11:00 AM.
Interment Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
