Martha Virginia Pryor

Martha Virginia Pryor, 75 of Frederick, MD went home to be with her Lord after a courageous battle with cancer on Sunday, February 11, 2007 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Robert J. Pryor who passed away in 2006. They were married for 58 years.

Born January 15, 1932 in Myersville, Maryland she was the daughter of the late Oscar and Hazel Fisher.

Martha found great joy in spending time with her family and loved preparing meals for them.

Mrs. Pryor was an active member of the People's Baptist Church in Frederick. She enjoyed cooking, baking and loved her flower gardens. She raised chickens to get her brown eggs on the family farm.


She is survived by her children Linda Mae Pryor of Frederick, Robert Douglas Pryor of Boonsboro, Regina Ann Kline and husband Robert of Thurmont, Edwina Marie Beachley and husband William, Janet Rhinecker all of Boonsboro and Glenn Allen Early and wife Kathy of Frederick. Her grandchildren Dawn Pryor, Nicole Pryor, Stacy Dill, Jimmy Kline, Bradley Rhinecker, Leon Early, Austin Pryor, Thomas Rhinecker and Lillian Rhinecker. One great granddaughter Brittany Dill, a daughter-in-law, Bonnie Pryor, a brother, Harold Fisher and wife Angie, two sisters, Judy Abel and Patsy Ziegler.

She is preceded in death by her son, Perry Lee Pryor, a sister, Mary Jane Zepp and two brothers, Ray and Kenneth Fisher.

Visitation: The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD on Wednesday, February 14, 2007 from 2-4 and 6-9 PM.

Services: Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 15, 2007 at the funeral home at 2:00 PM with Rev. Michael Davidson officiating.
Entombment will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.

Her grandson's will serve as pallbearers.
