Martha Jean Young
January 8, 1946 — December 13, 2008
Miss Martha Jean Young, 62, of Frederick died Saturday, December 13, 2008 at the Northampton Manor Health Care Center.
Born in Frederick on January 8th, 1946 she was the daughter of th late Betty L Kauffman and Leroy Grable.
Martha had worked many years for the H. L. Harts Company as a cutter/spreader. Most recently she worked in the warehouse at Frederick Memorial Hospital.
She is survived by her daughter Dawn Hahn and husband Keith of Frederick; her loving grandsons, Keith Danny Hahn and Cody Allen Hahn; two sisters, Cindy Crouse and husband Randy of Frederick and Patsy Fletcher of West Virginia; two brothers, Larry Kauffman of Thurmont and Gary Kauffman and wife Delores of Smithsburg.
Martha was also preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Kauffman-Woods, her step father, Charles Morris Kauffman, and by Dawn's father, Daniel H. Click.
Visitation: The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD.
Services: Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 17th at 10:30 AM with Rev. Arthur Baugher officiating. Burial will follow in Lewistown cemeter, where serving as pallbearers will be Dwayne Young, Sam Young, Danny Hahn, Cody Hahn, Ray Young, and Mark Crookshank.
In lieu of flowers memorials are requested in Martha's name to be made to Stauffer Funeral Home, PO Box 1819, Frederick, MD 21702 to help defray funeral costs.
