Martha Miller

Martha Marie (Griffith) Miller, 91, of Hagerstown passed away on Monday, December 6, 2010 at the Washington County Hospital.

Born on April 2, 1919 in Boonsboro, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late David L. and Temmie E. (Greenawald) Griffith.

Mrs. Miller was employed for 28 years as a Nursing Assistant at the Fahrney-Keedy Home & Village.

She was a member of the Boonsboro Bible Church.

She is survived by her six sons, Ralph Miller and his wife Lynn of Waynesboro, Pennsylvania, Dale Miller of Boonsboro, Donald Miller and his wife Wanita of Boonsboro, Rodney Miller and his wife Kerry of Keedysville, Gary Miller of Boonsboro, and Glenn Miller and his wife Debbie of Hagerstown; her four daughters, Shelva and her husband Richard Renner of Hagerstown, Joyce and her husband Wayne Hamilton of Hagerstown, Sharon and her husband Dave Harshman of Frederick, and Denise and her husband Delbert of Boonsboro; and her brother, Harold D. Griffith of McConnellsburg, Pennsylvania and his wife Margie of Boonsboro.  She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by two sons, Charles E. Green and Douglas Miller; six brothers, Glenwood, Elwood, William, Woodrow, Luther, and Richard Griffith; five sisters, Mildred and Milby Griffith, Annie Haupt, Angie Moats and Marie Hawks; and her granddaughter Jody L. Miller.

A funeral ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, December 9, 2010 at the Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro.  Rev. Robert D. Welty will officiate.  Burial will follow at the Boonsboro Cemetery.

Friends may visit beginning at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at the funeral home where the family will be present to receive visitors from 6 to 8 p.m
