Martha Louise Easton – known as Louise – was the youngest of three children born to Olan P. Phelps, Sr. & Anna (Linthicum) Phelps. Louise and her siblings, Eleanor and Olan, Jr. (Sonny), grew up in a lovely three story home “across the parking lot” from their father's general store in Glenelg, MD.

Louise married Donald Welsh Easton (Donnie, of Sandy Spring, MD) in 1953; they celebrated their 71st wedding anniversary this year. Donald and Louise welcomed four daughters into their lives and as part of their legacy.

Louise worked on and off throughout the years of raising her children. Her longest-term employment was with Howard County Public Schools. She retired after 20+ years of employment as Executive Secretary to the Principal of Cedar Lane School – a job she loved.

Louise was devoted to her family. She was happiest at holiday and family gatherings (birthdays, weddings, etc.). Louise loved traveling. She also loved music and musicals, dancing, socializing, and card games played with family and friends.

Louise was diagnosed with cancer in November 2023.

Louise is preceded in death by her beloved parents and siblings, and one niece.

Louise is survived by: her husband, Donnie; her four daughters, Donna, Dianne, Doreen, and Debra; 10 Grandchildren; 11 Great-Grandchildren; and five Great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by nine nieces and nephews and their families.
