Marta Susan Trimble
April 8, 1949 — September 28, 2008
Marta Susan Trimble, age 59 of Woodsboro, passed away after a lengthy illness on Sunday, September 28, 2008 at the Citizen Care and Rehabilitation Center in Frederick.
Born April 8th, 1949, she became a Licensed Practical Nurse in Frederick and worked in several hospitals and nursing homes.
She married the late Roland Trimble and moved to Florida where she continued her work in nursing for a total of 20 years. Marta later returned to Frederick after the death of her husband in 2000.
Prior to her illness, she worked at the Woodsboro Evangelical Lutheran Church. She was an avid reader and loved animals, especially her pet dachshund, Fred.
Surviving are her parents, Frances N. and Samuel F. Gardner, III; two brothers, S. Kevin Gardner and wife JoAnne, Gary L. Gardner, and wife Kathy; one niece, Manda J. Mackintosh and husband Drew; two nephews, Justin Gardner and wife Margo, and Matthew Gardner and great-uncle Gene Gardner.
She was preceded in death by her husband of six years, Roland Trimble.

Services: The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home,, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Thursday, October 2, 2008 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM where a memorial service will begin at 8:30 PM officiated by Pastor Dorothy Lundgren.
