Mr. Marshall "Buz" J. Barger, Jr. 72 of Jefferson, MD passed away on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at his home. He was the husband of Rose Barger.
Born May 8, 1941 in Frederick he was the son of the late Marshall J. Barger Sr. and Elsie M. Barger.
Marshall retired in 2002 from Pepco as a power plant operator. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and being in the outdoors. He was an avid Orioles fan.
In addition to his loving wife he is survived by his two children, Matthew Barger of Jefferson and Kimberlie Laing and husband Michael of Jefferson, three granddaughters, Morgan, Katie and Kelsie Laing, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, JoAnn Thompson, nephews, Scott Pry and Jason Axline and a brother in law, Merrell Foltz.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1100 North Maple Ave., Brunswick on Thursday, March 6th from 6:00-9:00PM. Funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, March 7th at 1:00PM. The family will also be present to receive friends one hour prior to service time. Rev. Kimberly Nunberg will officiate.
Interment will be in Burkittsville Union Cemetery.
