Marlene Canter

Marlene Sue Canter of Mt. Airy, MD passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 23, 2014 at her home.  She was 66 years old, born June 18, 1947 in Weston WV. Marlene was preceded in death by both parents Robert & Dorothy Willard. She is survived by two daughters, Vicki Canter of Waldorf, MD. and Robin Marchant of Davidsonville, MD, and a Son in Law, Christopher Druin. She has one son, Christopher Canter of Hughesville, MD.  Also, one grandson, Cody Marchant. She is also survived by her beloved sister, Donna Blankenbaker & Brother-in-Law Carl P. Blankenbaker of Mt. Airy. Marlene loved all animals but especially her little companion, Zazu. She enjoyed nature, gardening & drawing.  Marlene was always studying the Bible for she was a woman of faith. Mostly, she loved her family and spending time with them. Family will receive friends at Stauffer Funeral Homes, P.A., 8 East Ridgeville Blvd., Mt. Airy, MD 21771 on Friday, May 30, 2014 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM with a Funeral Service immediately following at 12:30 PM.  Interment will follow at Prospect Cemetery, Mt. Airy, MD. Her family will miss her more than she will ever know.
