Mark Lewis

Mark Daniel Lewis, 63 years old passed away peacefully at home in Thurmont, MD on Wednesday, October 10, 2018, after a battle with dementia.
He was born October 24, 1954 at home in Thurmont, MD to the late Leonard and Anna (Cool) Lewis.
Mark graduated from Catoctin High School, class of 1972. Then married his sweetheart Janet (Woods) Lewis, married for 46 years. He was an electrician for over 40 years. He liked hunting, gardening, and his grandchildren. He was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church and Blue Ridge Sportmans Club.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his children, Daniel Lewis, Christina (Lewis) Wiltrout (John) and Carla (Lewis) Brown (Hatton); siblings, Della Alexnader (Gordon), Andrew Lewis (Laureen) and brother-in-law Thomas Cavey, Sr.; grandchildren Benjamin Wiltrout, Cody Lewis and Grady Brown and special sister-in-law Dee Michaels.
He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews that he teased all the time.
He is preceded in death by sister, Linda Cavey and granddaughter Samantha Wiltrout.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt appreciation to hospice caregivers, Michelle and Crystal and all who helped with Mark.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 104 E. Main St., Thurmont, MD on Monday, October 15, 2018 from 2-4PM and 6-8PM. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, October 16 at 10AM at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, 103 North Church St., Thurmont, MD, Rev. J. Collin Poston will be the celebrant.
Interment will follow at Blue Ridge Cemetery.
