Mark Alan Kinsey, Sr.

Mark Alan Kinsey, Sr., 66, of Frederick, Maryland, passed from this life on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at Frederick Health Hospital in Frederick, MD. He was the beloved husband of Kathryn M. Kinsey for 43 years.

 Born on February 19, 1958, in Bethesda, MD, he was the son of Buddy Bernard Kinsey and Joan Offutt Kinsey.

 Mark was an avid Washington REDSKINS fan and spent many years going to games with his dad and brothers and in later years with his good friend and children. He loved the game of golf and played whenever he could with family and friends. Morning walks on the beach to watch the sunrise and later to sit in the surf and watch the waves roll in, was his favorite way to enjoy vacation. Of course, his absolute favorite thing to do was spend time with family. Friends said they never saw anyone work so hard to have a good time and that he taught many of them the art of having fun at the next level.

 In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Alan Kinsey and wife Jenna, daughter Erin Kinsey and beloved granddaughter, Piper; his mother, Joan, and brothers David (Lori), Jim (Maureen), Steve (Terry), and Darrin; his aunt Nancy Mitchell; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Buddy.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at Stauffer Funeral Homes, P.A., 1621 Opossumtown Pike in Frederick, MD.

 Interment will be private.

 Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or American Diabetes Association.
