Mark Lear Foucart, 66, went to his everlasting home on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at Frederick Memorial Hospital after a short illness.
Born June 21, 1951 in Tampa, Florida, Mark was the son of Lillian Fluman Foucart and the late John Spencer Foucart.
Mark was a graduate of South Williamsport (PA) High School, Bloomsburg University and the Lutheran Theological Seminary of Philadelphia. As an ordained minister, he was called to serve at St. John's Lutheran Church, Shiremantstown, PA from 1982-1988 and St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Walkersville, MD, where he served from 1988-2017. He retired from the ministry earlier this year.
Along with his mother, Mark is survived by his wife, Candace Atkinson Foucart; daughters Kathleen Walker and husband Joseph and Lauren McCloskey and husband Lee; granddaughters Clarissa Walker, Lillian McCloskey and Sabrina Walker; siblings Valerie Foucart, Brian Foucart and wife Julie McClung and Lisa Foucart. He is also survived by nephews John Ward and Spencer Foucart; nieces Michelle Atkinson, Rachel Jennings and husband James and Kayla Vincenti; grand-nieces and grand-nephews Harper Jennings, Stephanie, Joshua, Autumn, Nathaniel, Temperance and John Luke Monsma as well as many extended family members. He is also remembered by Laura Grimes and her family.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 9, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD 21702. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 10 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of the funeral home. Graveside committal services will take place on Saturday, November 11 at 11:00 AM at Wildwood Cemetery, 1151 Cemetery Street, Williamsport, PA 17701.
