Marjorie "Margie" Griffith

Marjorie "Margie" L. (Abbott) Griffith, 79, a lifelong resident of Boonsboro, Maryland, passed away on Wednesday afternoon, July 9, 2014, at Reeders Memorial Home in Boonsboro, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on January 27, 1935 in Mt. Briar, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late George W. and Clara V. (Butts) Abbott.
Margie was a lifelong member of Mt. Briar First Church of God.
She was a 1953 graduate of Boonsboro High School.
Her early working career began at London Fog Manufacturing Company in Boonsboro. After eleven years of dedicated service with London Fog Manufacturing, Margie did seamstress work and helped her family and friends.
Margie is survived by her loving husband, Harold D. Griffith, whom she married on November 13, 1954; her daughter, Jill Flaugher of Boonsboro; her three sisters, Martha L. Jones of Boonsboro, Patsy L. Reeder and Faye L. Breeden, both of Hagerstown, Maryland; and a brother, Eddie C. Abbott of Hagerstown. She is also survived by one grandson, John David Fauble of Boonsboro.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Debra Griffith; her son-in-law, Doug Flaugher; and her six brothers, Garland, Leon, George, Homer, Gerald, and Gene Abbott.
Services will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.
