Mrs. Marjorie L. DeLair, 84 of Walkersville, MD.(formerly of Thurmont), died Tuesday, November 11, 2008 at the Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late Merhle DeLair
Born August 19, 1924 in Iowa, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Helen McKnight.
Mrs. DeLair was a member of the Frederick Church of the Brethren and the Catoctin United Methodist Church in Thurmont. She retired from Homewood Retirement Center and later worked for Home Call. She enjoyed working puzzles, sewing, cooking and family gatherings.
She is survived by a son David DeLair and wife Juanita of Walkersville, MD and a daughter Harriet Bancroft and husband Kim of CA, five grandchildren Elizabeth Zastoupil, David Wesley Glass, Jason DeLair, Angela DeLair and Merhle Tony Martin, three great grandchildren Johnathan Zastoupil, Destiney Carbaugh and Madelyn DeLair and a brother Paul McKnight of Iowa.
She was preceded in death by a grandson Tony DeLair.
Visitation: The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 104 E. Main St., Thurmont on Saturday, November 15, from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m.
Services:
Services will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, November 16, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Mike Watkins officiating..
