Marion Tucker, III

Marion M. Tucker III passed away unexpectedly at home on Wednesday, May 5th, 2021.

Born July 10th, 1971, in Silver Spring, MD, he graduated in 1993 from the University of Maryland with a degree in accounting. He went on to earn his CPA license and worked as a staff accountant. For the past 21 years, he was employed by BrightFocus Foundation, where he was well-known and respected by his fellow employees. Marion was known to make people laugh, and the staff looked forward to his hosting the March Madness tournament. The importance and love of his family was evidenced by the amount of pictures and memorabilia that decorated his walls. Marion was an avid sports fan, especially of the Dallas Cowboys, and enjoyed the friendly rivalry of his Redskins friends and family. Despite not having a sense of adventure, he did enjoy going out and trying new things, in particular, he enjoyed going to local breweries and wineries with his wife.

Preceded in death by his father, Marion M. Tucker Jr.; he is survived by his wife of 22 years, Stephanie Tucker; son Austin Tucker; daughter Madison Tucker; mother Loretta Tucker-Smith; sister Cynthia Ruff (James Ruff); a number of cousins and other extended family.

A celebration of life will be held at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike Frederick, MD 21702 on Saturday, July 10, 2021 from 2:00pm to 4:00 pm.
