Mario Martinho

Mario F. Martinho, 58, of Mount Airy, Maryland, passed from this life on Saturday, June 13, 2020 at Suburban Hospital in Bethesda, MD. He was the loving husband of Jean A. Blakeney Martinho his wife of 27 years.
Born on June 4, 1962, in Portugal, he was the son of and Liliana Martins Martinho of Kensington and the late Joaquim Martinho.
Mario was a 1980 graduate of Albert Einstein High School in Kensington.
He worked for Waste Management for more than 30 years.
Mario enjoyed riding his motorcycle with his Portuguese friends, spending time with his family including baking with Carly, being with his two dogs and four cats; but most of all loved watching a movie and eating popcorn with his wife and daughter.
Surviving in addition to his wife and mother are: his daughter, Carly Martinho of Mt. Airy; a brother Marcos Martinho and wife Cristina of Damascus; sister-in-law Linda Grosshans and husband Steve of State College, PA, brother-in-law Richard Blakeney and wife Reba of Kutztown, PA; mother-in-law Marjorie Blakeney of State College, PA; five nieces and nephews: Abby, Ashley, Lorenzo, Lucus and Matthew.
Services and interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to a college fund for his daughter.
