Marilyn Eichwurtzle Daigneault

April 18, 1935 — December 25, 2009




Mrs. Marilyn Eichwurtzle Daigneault, 74 of Jefferson, MD, passed peacefully from this life into her Savior's arms Friday, December 25, 2009 at home with her family by her side.

She was the wife of the late George A Daigneault.

Born April 18, 1935 in Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Gaynelle Eichwurtzle.

Mrs. Daigneault was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother as well as an accomplished entrepreneur and writer. She was the Vice President of Daigneault Communications, founder of the Association of Independent Meeting Planners and Leader of the Northern Frederick County Republican Committee. Her article credits include feature stories in major travel and bird watching magazines and Reader's Digest. In addition, she was also an avid student of the Bible. She spent many years in analysis and study of it's words and history receiving a doctorate degree in theology based on that study.

She is survived by nine children Rachele Daigneault, Snow Hill, MD, Mike Daigneault, Germantown, MD, Beverly Cunha, Rockville, MD, Mark Stephenson, Martinez, GA, Douglas Stephenson, Westover, MD, Ruth Lantz, Charlestown, WV, Susan Riggs, Jefferson, MD, Joseph Daigneault, Smithsburg, MD and David Daigneault, Manassas, VA, 15 grandchildren and countless friends who's lives she touched deeply.

Services: The family will gather to celebrate her life and homegoing on January 19th, 2010 at 11am at Stauffer's Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD followed by graveside services at Arlington National Cemetery where she will be laid to rest with her beloved husband George who preceded her in death in February of this year. Pastor Ed Jordon will officiate the service.
