Marilyn Sue Jones

Marilyn Sue Jones, 70, of Thurmont, Maryland, passed from this life on Sunday, October 30, 2022 at Frederick Health Hospital in Frederick, MD. She was the beloved wife of William "Bill" Jones.  

Born in 1952, in Middletown, MD, she was the daughter of the late Earl C. and Naomi Pearl Moss. 

Marilyn was a 1970 graduate of Middletown High School.  

In addition to her husband, Bill, she is survived by her sister Linda Stanfield of Walkersville; Ted Watkins of Pennsylvania; children and step-children, Randy Watkins (wife Alice) and family of Texas, Rhonda Winstead (husband Lynn) and family of Tennessee, William, III (wife Charlene) of Maryland, Connie Lynn Beall (husband Karl) and family of Florida; several step-grandchildren; great nieces, numerous nieces, nephews and many friends. 

She was preceded in death by her son Robert E. Watkins and two brothers Earl Moss, Jr. and Harold W. Moss.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, February 11, 2023 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick at 1 pm.  Light Refreshments will be included.  Interment will be at Zion Lutheran Church in Middletown.
