Mrs. Marie Antoinette Longosky,73, of Knoxville, MD passed away Monday, March 11, 2013 at her home. She was the beloved wife of Edward Longosky, Sr. for 52 years.
Born on February 1, 1940 in Liege, Belgium, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Marie VanLede duWelz.
Mrs. Longosky went to school in Lora del Rio Spain. She loved taking care of her grandchildren, helping others, cooking, dancing, traveling and doing floral crafts.
In addition to her husband,Edward Longosky, Sr., she is survived by her two brothers: Pierre duWelz and Galletano duWelz; her oldest son Edward Longosky, Jr. (wife Jacqui): son Henry Longosky (wife Amy); and daughter Tina Decker (husband Scott); and 13 grandchildren: Daniel Kapaska II, Shawn Kapaska, Samantha Decker, Nicholas Longosky, Kristina Longosky-Porter, Justin Longosky, Matthew Longosky, Joshua Longosky, Alexandra Decker, Eric Longosky, Holly Longosky, Grace Longosky and Luke Longosky; plus her great-granddaughter Rylan Kapaska.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 110 N. Maple Ave., Brunswick on Thursday, March 14, 2013 from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, March 15 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 4231 Catholic Church Rd., Petersville, MD, at 1 PM. Father George Limmer will be the celebrant.
Interment will be Saturday, March 16, 2013 at Resurrection Cemetery,8000 Woodyard Rd., Clinton, MD 20735 at 10:30 AM.
