Marie Ida Heede

Mrs. Marie Ida Heede, 94 of Delaplane, VA, formerly of Edenton in Frederick passed away peacefully at her daughter's home in Mt. Airy on Saturday, August 2, 2008. She was the wife of the late Harry S. Heede.

Born on December 10, 1913 in Germany, she was the daughter of the late Jakob Friedrich and Anna Magdalina Loeffler Stickel. She was an accountant assistant for the U.S. Government.

Surviving are 2 daughters: Kaaren Rawlings and husband Tom of Delaplane, VA and Susan Heitmuller and husband Gordon of Mt. Airy; 7 grandchildren: R. Bryan Curtis, Glenn K. Curtis, Michelle K. McCrea, Michael T. Rawlings, Kristine M. Dowling, Matthew R. Rawlings and Charles G. Heitmuller; 19 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Mrs. Heede was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra H. Curtis and 2 sisters: Anne Wimmel and Lydia Cook.

Services: A memorial service will held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 9, at The Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, 27015 Ridge Rd., Damascus. Rev. Raymond Scheck officiating.

Interment will be private.
