Marie Elizabeth Jackson

Ms. Marie Elizabeth Jackson born August 30, 1932 to Mr. Roy and Mrs. Ruby Diggs.  On Saturday March 4, 2023 Marie gained her wings, took her flight and answered her father's call.

Marie was educated in the Frederick County Public School System.

Marie worked as a nurse's assistant in New York, NY and then finished her career in Frederick, MD.

In her past times Marie loved to play bingo and have been waiting to hit the Powerball, Mega Million and Lotto America.

Precious memories of Marie will linger on in the hearts of those closest to her.  Marie leaves to cherish her memories 4 children; Linda Brown of Columbia, MD; Sylvia Durant of Martinsburg, WV, Gabriel Jackson, Jr. of Brooklyn, NY and Derrick Jackson and Frederick, MD; 2 grandchildren, Jeffrey Brown and Anthony Jackson; 8 great grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews, godchildren, host of cousins and other relatives and friends.

Marie is preceded in death by her parents; Roy and Ruby Diggs; her husband, Allen Jackson; brother, James Diggs; sisters, Evelyn Diggs, and Thelma Dorsey.

The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike Frederick, MD 21702 on Saturday, March 11, 2023 from 10:00am to 11:00am.
Services will follow at the funeral home at 11:00am.  Interment will be at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
