Marie Erickson

Mrs. Erickson died Sunday at the age of 92. She was born on March 18, 1920 in Houtzdale, PA. She was the daughter of the late Louis P. J. and Elizabeth Coder Kohl.
Mrs. Erickson was a graduate of Houtzdale H.S. and Thompson’s Business College in York, PA. Mrs. Erickson has been a 5 yr. resident of Summerford Place.
She loved to play the piano and spend time with her family. She enjoyed camping, fishing and square dancing. She was a member of St. Catherine Drexal Roman Catholic Church.
Mrs. Erickson is survived by her children: John Edwin (Diane) Erickson of Thurmont, MD, Patricia Erickson (Thomas) Coval of Columbia, SC, Richard Louis Erickson of Camillus, NY and Frederick Paul (Marilyn) Erickson of Sturgeon Bay, WI; sisters, Louise Kohl Hartley, Margaret Kohl Stevick, Isabell Rita Kohl Merrill, and a brother, Francis (Eileen) Kohl. Mrs. Erickson had 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Edwin Richard Erickson; brother, Aloysius Kohl; sisters Kathleen Kohl Meyer and DeSales Kohl Coval; and 1 grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30AM on Saturday, March 16, 2013 at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick with Father Keith Boisvert officiating.
A Mass and Burial will follow later in the month in Columbia, SC.
