Marian Bush

Mrs. Marian E. Bush, 96 of Frederick, Maryland, passed away Saturday, February 5, 2011 at Northampton Manor. She was the wife of the late Francis W. Bush, Sr.

Born September 26, 1914 in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Leo V. and Lucy B. Byrd Bush.

Mrs. Bush was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. In earlier years she was a member of the Frederick Symphony Society, the Button and Bows Square Dance Club, Frederick Community Concerts and the Stroke Club of Frederick. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, dancing, crossword puzzles and was an avid bridge player.

She is survived by her children Francis W. Bush, Jr and wife Melony, Joan Bush Gatrell and husband Eric and Jerome A. Bush, grandchildren Robert Betson, Robynn Betson Larkin, Carol Bush Tressler, Melanie Bush Godsey and Christopher Bush, Lori Brunner, Kathy Rice, and Kris Reyes, 21 great grandchildren, a brother Leo V. Barry and wife Rita, seven nephews and four nieces. She was preceded in death by a sister Eleanor Barry Sturm and husband Gerard, two brothers Herbert Barry and wife Betty and Fred Barry and wife Katherine.

There will be no visitation.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 9, at 11:00 am from St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 112 E. Second Street, Frederick with Father As celebrant.

Burial will follow the Mass at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
