Margery Edna Wilmore

Mrs. Margery Edna Wilmore, 86 of Frederick, Md., formerly of Westminster,Md. Died Friday February 19, 2010 at Golden Living in Frederick. She was the wife of the late Bernard A. Wilmore.

Affectionately known as Juggy to all who knew her, she was quick with a laugh and known for her pleasant demeanor.

Born February 5, 1924 in Chicago, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Edna Distance Montgomery.

Remarkably, at the age of 15, when her own mother passed away, Juggy and her husband Bernard raised her siblings Jean and Daniel as their own, and fulfilled the role of grandmother to Margery Lynn Montgomery Strain and Nelson Richard Montgomery. Because education was paramount, she made sure everyone received advanced college degrees, and then received her own. After more than 40 years as a school teacher in Baltimore, Md, Juggy enjoyed travelling to exotic destinations all over the world, playing the piano, sewing, gardening and raising her pet dogs and being an active member of Morgan State University Alumni.

She is survived by a brother Charles Montgomery and a sister Jean Montgomery.

She was preceded in death by her sisters Gloria and Ruth Montgomery and brothers Richard and Daniel Montgomery.

She also leaves numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, and special caregivers of the Alzheimers Care Unit at Golden Living who will dearly miss her.

Visitation: The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, Md, Wednesday, February 24, from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m

Services: Services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, February 25, at 11:00 a.m.
