Margaretta Working

Mrs. Margaretta K. Working, 66, of Emmitsburg, Maryland, passed away Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at the York Hospital. She was the wife of John J. Working, her husband of 43+ years.

Born October 22, 1946 in Chambersburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Oscar and Rhoda Burkholder Keefer.

Mrs. Working was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in Sabillasville and also a member of the Vigilant Hose Company Auxiliary and the Crimson Red Hat Association. She loved reading Amish books, collecting Amish cook books and did beautiful counted cross stitch. Margaretta loved spending time with her family and was loved by many.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two children Tammy Lescalleet of Taneytown and Michael Working and wife Tammy of Emmitsburg, grandchildren Chelsea Sayler, Katlyn Lescalleet and Madison Working, a sister Sara Griffith and husband Dennis of Fayetteville, PA and nephew Kevin Griffith.

She will also be remembered by her special friends Robert and Sherry Myers and Bobby, Nicholas and Jayden Myers.

The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 104 E. Main Street, Thurmont, MD, Friday, August 30, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm, where services will be held Saturday, August 31, at 11:00 am with Rev. Al Deal officiating.

Interment Emmittsurg Memorial Cemetery.
