Margaretta Mosburg Stiles, 103, of Hagerstown, passed from this life on Sunday, January 17, 2021 at Somerford House in Hagerstown.

Born on March 28, 1917, in Buckeystown, she was the daughter of the late Grover  Mosburg and Eva (Scott) Mosburg. Her husband, George A. Stiles, preceded her in death in 1995.

Gretta graduated from Frederick High School. She was employed by Frederick County Extension Service and also Central Maryland Farm Credit.

She was a member of Rehoboth United Methodist Church. Gretta enjoyed gardening and playing cards with her friends.

She is survived by her stepson, David Stiles and wife, Rosa, of Austin, Texas; daughter-in-law, Vada Stiles of Hagerstown; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one niece, Joan Robertson of Raleigh, North Carolina.

Gretta was preceded in death by her stepson, Nathan Stiles; and her sister, Evelyn Robertson.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at Boonsboro Cemetery in Boonsboro with Rev. Michael Bennett officiating. Due to Covid-19, masks will be required and social distancing will be enforced.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Rehoboth United Methodist Church, 16829 Lappans Road, Williamsport, MD 21795.
