Margaret {Dolores} Harding Keeney

Mrs. Margaret Dolores Harding Keeney passed away June 22, 2009 at the University of Maryland Hospital. She was the wife of Richard Bing Keeney. They had been married for 51 + years.

Dolores was born in Frederick County on November 11, 1937. She was the daughter of the late James and Margaret Harding.

Mrs. Keeney was of Episcopal Faith. Her hobbies were dancing, traveling, reading, gambling and spending time at the family vacation home in Crisfield, MD. She had been a bowler, bowling since 1971 and was an avid fan of the Frederick Falcons. Dolores was a life member of the South Mountain Rod and Gun Club Auxiliary and a member of Young at Heart Exercise Club in Middletown. She drove a school bus for 20 years.

In addition to her husband she is survived by four sons, Rich Keeney and wife Theresa of Wolfsville, Randy Keeney and wife Leslee of Middletown, Jake Keeney and companion Tammy of Myersville, and Rafe Keeney and Laura Schubert of Myersville, Two sisters Linda Swann and husband Joe and Joan Clingan and husband Carl, her brother Tom Harding and wife Pat. There are eight granddhildren Josh Keeney and wife Angie, Ali Keeney, Hayley Keeney, Jaeger Keeney, Morgan Keeney, Lauren Keeney, Zachary Keeney and Elizabeth Keenery.

She was preceded in death by a brother Jim Harding and a granddaughter Rylee Keeney.

Visitation: The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Wednesday, June 24, from 2 -4 and 7 - 9 p.m.

Services: Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 25, at 1:00 p.m. from All Saints Episcopal Church, 106 West Church Street, Frederick with Rev. Anne O. Weatherholt officiating.
Interment Harmony Church of the Brethren Cemetery.
