Margaret B. Butler

Mrs. Margaret B. Butler, 101 of Knoxville, MD went home peacefully to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 28, 2009 at her home. She was the wife of the late James A. Butler.

Born August 2, 1907 in Brookville, MD she was the daughter of the late Louis and Ada Morrison.

Margaret was the oldest member of the Mt. Zion A.M.E. Church. She was a member for 83 years. She was very active in the church and served on the Stewardess Board, Missionary Society, Choir Member and she was on the Trustee Board.

She was a people person and loved everyone. She also enjoyed gardening.

She is survived by her sister, Edith Jackson, four grandchildren, Evelyn King, Margaret Holmes, Stanford King and Charles King, a devoted great granddaughter Greta Morehead, 11 great grandchildren, 13, great great grandchildren and 1 great great great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Arlene King and her husband Charles Kin, 5 sister and 1 brother.

Visitation: The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1100 North Maple Ave., Brunswick, MD on Sunday, August 2 from 2:00-5:00 PM.

Services: Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Monday, August 3 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Jonathan Davis officiating.

Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Frederick.
