Margaret Whitaker

Margaret Whitaker, 80, of Essex, Maryland, passed from this life on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at Stella Maris in Lutherville Timonium, MD. Her husband of 59 years, Teddy R. Whitaker, passed away November 3, 2014.
Born on October 16, 1936, in Hinton, WV, she was the daughter of the late Everette Lee and Dorothy Virginia (Deaver) Adkins.
She is survived by son, Teddy Whitaker of Essex, Maryland and daughter, Susan Mapes and husband, Bob, of Westminster, Maryland; three grandchildren, Carrie Farren, Jenny Farren and Stacie Whitaker; four great-grandchildren, Trey, Gabbie, Kai and Addley; brother and sister, Robert Adkins and June Dixon; and special nephews, Paul, Jack and Steve Whitaker.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her two sisters, Helen Whitaker and Nellie Horner.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, March 19, 2017 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1100 North Maple Avenue in Brunswick.
A celebration of Margaret's life journey will take place at 10 a.m. on Monday, March 20, 2017, at Stauffer Funeral Home. Interment will be at Burkittsville Union Cemetery in Burkittsville, MD.
