Margaret A. (Parlett) Twigg, 82, of Boonsboro, Maryland, passed from this life on Thursday, May 28, 2015, at Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown, Maryland.
Born on December 19, 1932, in West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late George and Ethel (Youngblood) Parlett. Her husband, Grafton "Joe" Twigg, preceded her in death.
Margaret dedicated her life to being a wife, mother and grandmother. She liked to quilt and work jigsaw puzzles.
She is survived by four children, Stephan L. Twigg and wife Joy of Boonsboro, Lori L. Turner and husband Tom of Martinsburg, West Virginia, Brenda S. McNamee and husband Mark of Fairplay, Maryland, and David M. Twigg and wife Debra of Hedgesville, West Virginia; her daughter-in-law, Yvette Perrin and husband Dean of Spotsylvania, Virginia; four grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and four step-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Mickey N. and Randy L. Twigg.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 1, 2015 at the Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike in Boonsboro. Rev. Walter Bowers will officiate. Final resting place ceremonies will follow at the Boonsboro Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, May 31, 2015 at the funeral home.
