Margaret Stup Sunday passed away on March 30th, 2025 at Heartfields Assisted Living Community. She was born on December 15, 1922 and died at the age of 102. She was the wife of the late Lewis (Bill) Sunday for 66 years. She was the daughter of Raymond and Carrie (Martz) Stup of Frederick, MD. She raised three sons and valued keeping the family close.
Mrs. Sunday spent most of her life on the farm on Sundays Lane milking cows and working the fields. She was known for her great love of flowers which continuously bloomed throughout the seasons in her yard. She was a master crafter with her sewing, making quilts, drapes and slipcovers. She and Bill particularly enjoyed their bus travels in their laters years. She was able to stay in her home until she was 99 years old.
Margaret and Bill were long time members of Faith United Church of Christ in Frederick. Special thanks to the wonderful people at Heartfields for treating her like family for over two years.
Margaret is survived by her two sons and their families, Kenneth and Terry Sunday, Douglas and Jennifer Sunday, and five grandchildren -- Wendy and Robert Marsh of Florida; Jennifer Sunday of Tucson, AZ; Corey, Kevin and Ashlee Sunday of Frederick; and two great grandchildren, John and Kate Marsh of FL -- there are also several surviving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her son Stephen Sunday and sisters, Helen Warrenfeltz and Mary Baer and her brothers Marion Stup and Charles Stup.
