Margaret Reeley

Margaret Hobbs Reeley, 92, of Frederick, Maryland, passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2016, at Heartfields At Frederick in Frederick, Maryland.  She was the beloved wife of the late Francis E. "Bruce" Reeley for 70 years.  Born on April 23, 1924, she was the daughter of Charles W. Hobbs and Eleanor Cissel Hobbs.

In her early years, Margaret was employed as an administrative assistant and bookkeeper with Morningside Cleaners.  She retired to Cobb Island, MD to enjoy living by the water.  Mrs. Reeley later spent vacations at the beach with her family and enjoyed "game days" with her sisters.  Margaret's family wishes to thank the caregivers and staff at Heartfields at Frederick for their loving care and Hospice of Frederick County for their care at the end of her life.

She is survived by her children, Ronald Reeley and wife Brenda, Janis Byrne and husband Joe, grandchildren Michael Byrne, W. Christopher Reeley and Julie Byrne Puryear, great-grandchildren Ethan, Katie, Sydney, Hannah and Kylee as well as siblings Elizabeth Beall and Wilson Hobbs.  In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by sisters Mary, Katherine, Frances and Sally.

A visitation will be held from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at Stauffer Funeral Home, P.A., 8 East Ridgeville Boulevard, Mt. Airy, MD.  Funeral services will be held immediately following visitation at 12:00 pm at the Funeral Home.  Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
