Mrs. Margaret Ann Ray, 71, of Mt. Airy, MD passed away November 28, 2012. She was the beloved wife of Stanley Louis Ray, Jr. for 46 years.
Born January 5, 1941 in Clinton, MA she was the daughter of the late Joseph M. and Dorothy E. Kraft Ryan.
Mrs. Ray was a 1958 graduate of Clinton High School and a 1961 graduate of Hahnemann Hospital,School of Nursing, Worcester, MA. Margaret worked for many years as a surgical nurse at Hahnemann Hospital. Margaret enjoyed shopping, playing bingo and spending her winters in FL.
In addition to her husband she is survived by her children Stephen Joseph Ray, Kevin Michael Ray, Kathleen Louise Ray and Michael Anthony Ray and wife Natalie Marie; grandchildren Britni Renee Clingenpeel, Taylor Conner, Calhoun and Emily; great-grandchildren Aiden and Patrick; sisters Dorothy E. Anderson and Michele Ryan; sister in law Joyce S. Ryan, nieces Elizabeth A. Ryan, Dawn M. Beeghly, Kelly Hansel, Tracey Ryan, Cheryl Ryan and Lori Ryan and nephew Eric R. Pratt.
She is preceded in death by her brother Joseph M. Ryan.Jr.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 1, 2012 at 10:30 AM, at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Poplar Springs, 1125 St. Michael's Road, Mt. Airy, MD 21771. Rev. Michael J. Ruane will be the celebrant.
