Mrs. Margaret Ethel (Airey) Rausch, 90, of Thurmont, died on Saturday February 12, 2011 at her home. She was the wife of the late Lester Rausch.
Born December 21, 1920 in Baltimore, MD, She was daughter of the late Carroll and Helen Amspacher Airey.
She is survived by three grandchildren; Sherry Healy, Vincent Healy Sr. and Jeffrey Orenstein. Five Great grandchildren; Brooke Burd, Vincent Healy Jr., Aaron Padgett, Ethan Hitchcock- Healy and Justin Orenstein. Two great great grandchildren, Rylee and Evan Burd. She is also survived by her granddaughter in law and special caregiver of 18 years, Dixie Lee Healy. A special thank you to Margaret’s nurse for the past 11 years, Pamela Eaton. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her daughter, Phyllis Healy- Orenstein, her sister, Helen Manners and brother Alvin Airey.
A private family service will be held Tuesday February 15, 2011 at Stauffer Funeral Home, Thurmont. Pastor Tiffany Kromer of Garfield U. M. Church, Smithfield will officiate. The interment will take place at Moreland Memorial Cemetery, Towson.
