Margaret Oland

Margaret Christine Oland, 86 of Frederick, passed away, Sunday, July 16, 2017 at Citizens Care and Rehabilitation Center.  Born December 1, 1930 at Frederick City Hospital, she was the daughter of the late Charles David and Mamie Grubb Oland.  She was the youngest of nine children.

She is survived by many nephews and nieces.  Edward C. Day; Sandy B. Day;  Donna D. Diamond; C. Bruce Oland;  Carole O. Kearse, Elaine O. Hemby; Vicki L. Miller; John H Miller Jr; William S. Routzahn; Sherry L. Spencer; Catherine R. Stiele; Preston E. Best; Christopher O. Best; Bethany J.Vandervoort; Patricia J. Goetz; Charles B. Crone; William E Crone II.  Many great nephews and great nieces will also remember her particularly Deborah D. Diamond and also the wonderful staff at Citizens Care and Rehabilitation Center.

She was preceded in death by sisters Fern Day, Catherine Routzahn, Nell Miller, June Best, Jean Crone and brothers Bruce, James, and Frederick Oland.

Maggie was a graduate of Frederick High School and a member of the Evangelical Reformed United Church of Christ in Frederick.  Maggie loved the beach and  loved spending time with her family.  She was a special person to all who met her and she will be deeply missed.

A memorial service will be held Saturday July 22, 2017 at 11:00am in the mausoleum at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.  Rev. Barbara Daniels  will officiate.
