Mrs. Margaret Routzahn Mullican, 90, of Mt. Pleasant died Friday, April 22, 2011 at her home. She was the wife of William Austin (Nate) Mullican who pre
deceased her in November 1998. They were married in 1939. She was the mother of William Dwight Mullican.
Born July 7, 1920 in Mt. Pleasant, she was the daughter of the late Edward C. and Ethel Sophia Hobbs Routzahn.
She was retired from the Parsons Co. Department store in Frederick, and also worked at Kemp’s Department Store and Insley’s Shoe store in Frederick. She was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Reformed United Church of Christ, where she has been a choir member since 1935. She served on consistory and led the youth fellowship and jr. choir. She was also a member of the Guild and Phila-Thea Class and a member of Food and Friends and helped with the Ruritan Club. She and her husband enjoyed traveling on bus trips and cruises. They also enjoyed having Hymn sings together.
She is survived by one son William Dwight Mullican and wife Shirley of Mt. Pleasant.
She was preceded in death by sister, Helen and her daughter Dolly; 3 brothers Daniel, Edward and Roscoe.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Monday, April 25, at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick where services will be held on Tuesday, April 26 at 3 PM. Interment will follow at Union Chapel Cemetery, Libertytown.
