Margaret Miller

Margaret Virginia (Poffenberger) Miller, 81, of Boonsboro, Maryland, passed from this life on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at Reeders Memorial Home.

Born on November 2, 1931 in Washington County, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Clarence O. and Sylvia Evelyn (Hutzel) Poffenberger. She was preceded in death by her husband Carroll Ivan Miller, who passed in 1994.

Margaret was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, "Nana", and great-grandmother. She was born, raised, and worked on the family farms located on Reno Monument Road. In addition, Margaret was a Homemaker. Along with spending quality time with her family, her interests included playing bingo, traveling by bus, and enjoying meals out at her favorite restaurant, The Red Byrd in Keedysville, Maryland. She was also a member of the Boonsboro Bible Church and the Boonsboro Senior Citizens Group.

She is survived by her daughter, Donna M. Caldwell and husband Danny of Hagerstown, Maryland; threes sons, Gary Lee Miller and wife Debbie of Boonsboro, Larry C. Miller and wife Carol of Hagerstown, and Darrin A. Miller and wife Betty of Hagerstown; sister Janice L. Tritapoe of Keedysville; and by 12 grandchildren (and one very close granddaughter, Julie Miller), and 17 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Margaret was preceded in death by daughter and son-in-law, Sharon M. and Wayne Albert.

A funeral ceremony will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, October 31, 2013 at the Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro. Rev. Ralph E. Jamison will officiate. Final resting place ceremonies will follow at Boonsboro Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at the funeral home.
