Margaret Elizabeth Harris

Margaret “Maggie” Elizabeth Harris, 75 of Frederick, Maryland entered into God’s loving arms on Monday, February 13, 2023.

Born on November 30, 1947 she was the daughter of Ernest Loy and Alice (Mobley) Loy.  


She is survived by her loving husband Jerry “Pap” Harris, married on December 16, 1988, they were deeply devoted to one another.


Also surviving are her two sons Steve Hahn and wife Angie, JR “Junior” Hahn and wife Janice.  Her stepson John “Johnny” Harris and wife Julie.  Her grandchildren Wayne Hahn (Devonne), Josh Hahn, Crystal McAfee (Tony), Caitlyn Thurman (Nathan), Kristen Buchanan (Mike), Dylan Harris (Brittany), Dwight Harris (Alicia), Khara Harris (Jeff), Dakota Harris, Jordan Harris (Jake), Dalton Harris (Kirsten) and John Harris (Rylee). 
Also surviving are her sisters Betty Hunt and Barbara Mullinex (Glen).  Her best friends Adrian and Gerry Shriner and Johnny and Sharon Mackenzie. And ten great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.  


She was predeceased by both parents, her first husband Wayne Hahn, her sister Virginia Smith, brother in laws Bob Hunt and Carroll Adkins, her stepsons Jerry “Jay” Harris and Russell “Rusty” Harris.


Maggie was a true matriarch of her family. She loved to create in her gardens, split firewood with her husband, enjoying nature and outdoors and spending time with all her friends and family and her Cici, all of whom she loved dearly. Maggie was sweet and loving.  She loved cooking and baking and was always excited to find a new recipe.  She enjoyed working on her puzzles and wordsearch books. She loved to read and always had a book in hand which she shared with her granddaughter Jordan.  She had retired from FCPS as a manager in food service in 2016.


Maggie chose to be cremated and a Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 1, 2023 at the Frederick Elks Lodge, Garden Room, 289 Willowdale Drive, Frederick, MD 21702 from 12:00pm to 3:00pm.

She will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
