Margaret Ann (Schaefer) Giles, 76, of Middletown, Maryland, and formerly of Clinton, Maryland, passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning, July 29, 2014, at Fahrney-Keedy Home and Village in Boonsboro, Maryland.
Born on November 14, 1937, in Boise, Idaho, she was the daughter of the late Leonard L. Schaefer and Eileen C. (Cox) Neeley.
Upon graduation from Boise High School, Margaret attended Boise State University (formerly Boise Junior College) in Boise, Idaho and received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education. After receiving her Bachelor's Degree, Margaret attended Bowie State University in Bowie, Maryland, and received her Master's Degree in Education.
Margaret worked for over thirty-six years for the Prince George's County Public Schools as an elementary school teacher. Her love was first grade, which she taught most of her years at Tanglewood Elementary School in Clinton, Maryland. After her retirement, she substituted for many schools. She was loved and respected by many students and also by many teachers who she mentored.
She was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose in Clinton, Maryland.
Margaret is survived by her daughter, Sabrina D. Auth and her husband, Brian, of Boonsboro, Maryland; sisters, Judy Cain of Boise, Idaho and Donna Moriarty of Portland, Oregon; and brothers Kenneth Schaefer of California and Nicholas Schaefer of Boise, Idaho. She is also survived by two grandchildren (Cheyanne and Summer); and many nieces and nephews.
