Mrs. Margaret Y. Fisher, 85, of Thurmont, Maryland, passed away Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at her home. She was the wife of the late Bryant W. Fisher.
In the last days of her life she was lovingly taken care of by her daughter-in-law Sharon.
Born September 17, 1928 in Frederick County, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Helen Biddinger Young.
Mrs. Fisher was a member of the Bush Creek Church of the Brethren and for many years she sang in the choir. She enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling with her husband, gardening, Caning chairs, singing and loved cats. Margaret was a very devoted wife and mother.
The family would like to express their appreciation Hospice for the care of their mother.
She is survived by her sons David Fisher of Little River, SC and Dean Fisher and wife Sharon of Knoxville, TN, grandchildren Cara Kidwiller and husband John and Krista Van Kampen and husband Dale. Three great grandchildren Cassandra, Keegin and Kaden Kidwiler. A sister Loretta Glass of TN, two nieces Michele Driver and husband Craig, Bonnie Young and nephew Timmy Young. She was predeceased by a brother Bob Young.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD, Friday, July 25, from 6-8PM. Services will be held at Bush Creek Church of the Brethren, 4821 Green Valley Road, Monrovia, MD on Saturday, July 26, at 11:00 am. Pastor Leo and Pastor Melissa Barnes will officiate.Friends may view from 10:00 am until service time.
Interment Bush Creek Church Cemetery.
