Margaret Duvall

Margaret “Ann” Duvall, 86, of New Market, Maryland, passed away on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late Aubrey Duvall who passed away in 1998.

Born on September 6, 1932, in Frederick, MD, she was the daughter of the late Charles Whitter and Helen (Staley) Whitter.

Ann was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church in Frederick and also a member of the Red Hats Society. Before her husband’s passing, together they enjoyed volunteering with his Masonic Lodge and fundraising for the Shriners Hospital for Children.

Ann enjoyed cooking but more than anything she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and she always enjoyed her dinner and cards playing on Wednesday night.

She is survived by her two daughters, Nancy Thompson and husband Lew of Millville, NJ and Linda Doyle and husband Mike of Frederick. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Lindsey Warfle and husband Jack, Matthew Doyle and wife Jessie, Patrick Doyle and wife Kelli, Amanda Sheppard and husband Jonathan, great grandchildren, Aubrey Doyle, Kailey Warfle, Olivia Sheppard, Fallyn Doyle and Jonathan (JT) Sheppard, two sister-in-law’s, Lucy Whitter and Patricia Hawse and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her brother, Charles “Sonny” Whitter, Jr.

The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home on Friday, February 1st from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, February 2nd at 2:00 pm with Rev. Ken Humbert officiating.

Burial will take place at Pleasant Hill Cemetery at a later date.
