Mrs. Margaret L. Daley, 89 of Frederick, MD passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2018.
Born September 20, 1928 in Washington, DC was the daughter of the late Margaret and Evan Bevan.
Margaret was the wife of the late John N. "Jack" Daley and the late Vincent Longo. Mother of Vicki Veilleux (Michael Veilleux), Patty Ann Daley (Courtney Vaughn), Kathleen denHartog (Arthur denHartog), Mary Greenwood (William Greenwood) and Christiana Daley. Also survived by grandchildren, William Day Sr., Mack Burton, III, Rachel denHartog, Sara denHartog and Nicholas Veilleux, great grandchildren Whitney Day, Brandon Leighton and William Day, Jr. and her sisters, Betty Crierie, Mildred O'Connell and Marcia Brigandi.
She is preceded in death by her two sisters, Elsie Hayden and Evelyn Taylor.
She worked for the Washington Gas Light Company for 39 years and she held positions of increasing responsibility during her career. She worked in Treasury at the time she retired.
We want to thank her Angels on Earth at Sunrise Assisted Living who took such great care of her...like family. She loved living there.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 8 East Ridgeville, Blvd. Mt. Airy, MD on Tuesday, January 16th from 2-4 pm and 6-8pm. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 17th at 10:00am with Rev. Tim May officiating.
Interment will be in Cheltenham Veterans Cemetery.
