Mrs. Malinda Cook died on Thursday, October 16th, 2014 at her home in Brunswick.
Born on December 3, 1947 in Brunswick, she was the daughter of Raymond and Leona Merriman.
Malinda is survived by her loving husband of 49 years Doug Cook, daughter and caregiver Missy Ferrell and husband Danny, son Dougie Cook and wife Shannon, and daughter Amanda Cook. She was grandmother to four loving grandchildren who were the light of her life, Novalee, Logan, Bethany and Bryant. Her cousin Terry James was her sister at heart who she adored. Malinda’s aunt Pat Greenfield became a second mother to her after the passing of her mother.
Malinda was a member of the Church of The Brethren in Brownsville, Maryland. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and enjoyed so much spending time with all of them. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm on Monday, October 20th at Stauffer Funeral Home 1100 North Maple Avenue in Brunswick. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, October 21st at the funeral home. The Reverend Dan Fraley will officiate. The interment will follow at Park Heights Cemetery.
