Maida Dore’ Law, 91, of Hagerstown, Maryland, passed away Sunday, February 17, at her home in Hagerstown. She was the beloved wife of 58 years to Preston “Toby” Law.

Born July 3, 1927 in Oakland, Prince Georges County, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Logan and Pauline Fowler.

Maida was a beautiful soprano soloist, singing sweetly for her church and Savior Jesus, recording a lovely album entitled “Never Alone”. She was a homemaker of superb talents, including, poetry, artwork, cooking, and she had the wonderful warm gift of making friends, while residing with her husband and children in Alaska, Thailand, Germany and Maryland.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Bruce Coffy of St. Petersburg, FL, Karen Coffy Rodkin of Boonsboro, MD, Mark Law of Kamiah, Idaho, Linda Potts of Hagerstown, MD; seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren; and her siblings; Betty Jean McMinnimy, Benjamin Fowler and Connie Hagelberger.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Susan Coffy and her sister June Rieneholt.

The family will receive friends from 2:30pm to 3pm on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at Willow Brook Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 8916 Mapleville Road, Boonsboro, MD 21713. A Celebration of her life will begin at 3pm at the church and will be led by Pastor Randy Fishell. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery in Sharpsburg.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Washington County Humane Society, 13011 Maugansville Road, Hagerstown, MD 21740.
