Mae Pierce

Mae Gertrude (Reeder) Pierce, 95, of Hagerstown, Maryland, passed from this life on Friday, September 11, 2015 at Julia Manor Health Care Center in Hagerstown.
Born on May 7, 1920, in Boonsboro, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late John L. and Ruth (Alexander) Reeder. Her husband, Hugh L. Pierce, preceded her in death in 2003.
Mae was a member of Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church in Boonsboro.
She is survived by one daughter, Shelva Jean M. Draper of Boonsboro; one sister, Betty Hull of Boonsboro; and three grandchildren, Kenneth A. Draper of Winchester, Virginia, Michael A. Draper of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, and Michelle M. Draper of Hagerstown. She is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Irene Poffenberger; two brothers, Dennis and Ernest Reeder; and one great-grandson, Nathan D. Peacoe.
A funeral ceremony will be held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, September 15, 2015, at the Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike in Boonsboro. Rev. John W. Schildt will officiate. Final resting place ceremonies will follow at the Boonsboro Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
