Mabel Barnes

Mrs. Mabel June Barnes , 85, of Thurmont, passed from this life on Monday, May 9, 2016 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. she was the wife of the Lee Roy Barnes, Sr. who died in 2007.
Born on Nov. 27, 1930 in Pennington Gap, VA she was the daughter of the late Latimer and Effie Daughtery Hall. She was a homemaker. Mabel enjoyed sewing, ceramics and singing and playing the piano.
Surviving are a daughter Cheryl Bottomly and husband Richard of Thurmont and a son, Lee Roy Barnes, Jr. and wife Teri of Phoenix, AZ; four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Hall and sister, Gloria Hall.
Graveside services and interment will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, May 12, at Blue Ridge Cemetery, Thurmont with Rev. Tim May officiating.
