Mrs. M. Virginia Henretty, 101, of Knoxville, MD passed away Saturday, September 13, 2014 at the Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Roy L. Henretty for 56 years.
Born on June 17, 1913 in Knoxville, MD she was the daughter of the late Clyde V. Sr. and Mary J. Thomas Hawes.
Virginia was a member of the Brownsville Church of the Brethren.
She is survived by her children Mary "Pat" Thompson of Frederick, Geralene "Gerry" Engle and husband Wayne of Jefferson and Roy Thomas Henretty and wife Billie Jo of Akron, OH; grandchildren Allen Thompson, Randy Thompson, Cindy Cutsail, David Henretty, Christa Meek, McKay Henretty, Josie Hartman, Adam Henretty and Sarah Henretty; 16 great-grandchildren and her sister-in-law Kathleen Hawes and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her brother Clyde V. Hawes and her three sisters.
The family will receive friends at the Brownsville Church of the Brethren, 1911 Rohresville Rd., Brownsville on Thursday, September 18, 2014 from 12-1PM where a funeral service will begin at 1PM. Pastor Alan Smith will officiate.
Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
