Mr. Lynwood Calvin Clark 87, of Frederick, went to be with the Lord on December 29, 2012. He was born in Winchester, VA. on April 21, 1925 to the late Harry R. and Grace V. Clark.

He was a U. S. Army Veteran and served during WWII in France and Germany. He was a Bronze Star recipient during the war and was awarded a second Bronze Star in 2006. Lynwood was a Maryland State Trooper for 32 years retiring in 1981 with the rank of 1st Lieutenant.

He was a member of the Maryland State Police F.O.P. Lodge #69, American Legion
Post #11, Philanthropic Masonic Lodge #168 for 60 years and Calvary United Methodist Church, Frederick.

Lynwood is survived by his son Jeff and wife Barbara of Jefferson, MD. He was the loving Grandfather of Cathy, Timmy, Bradley, and Sarah Clark and the Father-in-law of Regina Clark Crone. He is also survived by a special friend Pati Redmond. He was preceded in death by his son Timothy H. Clark.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday January 2, 2013 from 3-5 & 7-9 pm at Stauffer Funeral Homes, P.A., 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday January 3, 2013 at the Calvary United Methodist Church, 131 West 2nd Street, Frederick, MD 21701. Reverend Harry C. Cole and Reverend Kenneth R. Dunnington will officiate. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Frederick.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make memorial contributions in Lynwood's name to the Calvary United Methodist Church.
