Lynne C. Bennett

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lynne C. Bennett , who peacefully left this world on August 7, 2023 at 76 years old in Frederick Maryland. She was born on December 16, 1946 in Pascagula, Mississippi to John and Hazel Downs. She brought light, love, and joy to the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Lynne was a retired teacher of Catonsville, Maryland. She was known for her devotion to her church community. She lived a life dedicated to Jesus and valued her desire to always give to others.  

Lynne Bennett is survived by her children, John A. Bennett and his wife Leslie, Michael H. Bennett and his wife Corinne, grandchildren Nicholas, Brooke, Aidan, Andrew, Abigail, Jenna and Zach. She was predeceased by her husband John E. Bennett and her parents John and Hazel Downs. She will be deeply missed by her loved ones and all those who were fortunate enough to share her journey.

On Friday, August 18, 2023 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 8 East Ridgeville Blvd., Mount Airy, Maryland 21771 the family will receive friends from 2pm-4pm as they pay their respects; All are invited to attend the Celebration of Life that will immediately follow.
