OBITUARY OF : LYNN JEAN MANSEAU
Lynn Jean Manseau graced this earth for 53 years, losing her eight-day battle with liver and lung cancer on March 30, 2012, surrounded by family at the Kline Hospice, Mt. Airy, MD.
Lynn was born in York, PA on November 16, 1958, to Earl and Donna Manseau, attended the York suburban schools, graduating in 1976. She then attended Juniata College, graduating with honors, and married Richard B. Kraus, also a graduate of Juniata. She received her PhD in Molecular Genetics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, did her post-doctoral work at Princeton University, then accepted an offer from the University of Arizona where she was on the faculty and worked in genetics research. After adopting their son, Corey, they moved to New Market, MD to be closer to family.
In addition to the aforementioned parents, husband, and son, Lynn leaves behind a brother Scott, his wife Tracie, their daughter Paige, and their son, Brandon, a sister-in-law, Leslie Marsh, and her husband Charlie.
A gathering of friends and family in celebration of Lynn’s life will be held later this spring at the family’s convenience.
