L. Wayne Taulton

L. Wayne Taulton, 74, of Knoxville, Maryland, passed from this life on Saturday, June 30, 2012 at Genesis Healthcare College View Center in Frederick, Maryland with his family by his side.

Born on June 18, 1938, in Knoxville, he was the son of the late Harold and Catherine (Beachley) Taulton.

Wayne was a graduate from the Boonsboro High School.

He was employed for 40 years as a truck, bus driver, and a farmer.  Wayne was last employed for 13 years as a driver with the Richard B. Rudy, Inc. Transport Company in Frederick, retiring in 2003.

Wayne was a member of the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Rohrersville, Maryland.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Fay (Hickman) Taulton; six daughters, Patty Ventimiglia and Jackie Deener, both of Knoxville, Robin Hilldrup of Fredericksburg, Juanita Deener of Boonsboro, Rose Myers of Montana, and Anne Donlon of Hagerstown,; two sons, Ralph Deener of Knoxville, and Joseph Jarvis of Montgomery Village, Maryland; two sisters, Delores Taulton of Brunswick, and Dorothy Merchant of Pennsylvania; and two brothers, Robert and Gerald Taulton, both of Knoxville.  He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Ruth Kuntz, Alma Miller, and Thelma Gouche; four brothers, Frank, Merle, Leon, and Floyd Taulton.

A funeral ceremony will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, July 6, 2012 at the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, 3346 Gapland Road, Rohrersville, Maryland.  Brother Clayton A. Clark and Pastor Wendell G. McClellan will officiate.  Burial will follow at the Boonsboro Cemetery.

The family will receive family and friends from 6 to 8 p.m., on Thursday, July 5, 2012 at the Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, in Boonsboro, as well as one-half hour prior to the service on Friday at the church.

Memorial donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, Finance Department, 30 East 33rd Street, New York, New York, 10016.
